Audience Research

The age group my magazine will appeal too is older teens and young adults aged between 15 - 22. The magazine is for both genres. The music will appeal more to people with a taste in death metal, post hardcore and rock music. My audience could be students attending the last year of high school, college or university. The magazine isn't suitable for children due to use of strong language and in decent pictures which would include smoking and alcohol. The reader’s favourite band could be; dance Gavin dance or carnifex. In the readers spare time they would go to college, spend time with friends and go to gigs, parties and pubs. They'd be into horror films and watch comedies and reality TV shows. The magazines they'd be interested in would be kerrang and NME. The reader of my magazine would have an interest in piercings possibly. In terms of class, I would say that the audience of my magazine would range from a - c2. The lifestyle factors of my audience would definitely be disconnected and possibly an innovator.
